ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — It has been more than two months since Tropical Storm Helene barreled through Western North Carolina, leaving dozens dead, hundreds homeless and many business owners scrambling.
Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College is stepping in to help. The college is sponsoring the Stronger Together: Community Resources Fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, in the Ferguson Auditorium building on the Asheville campus at 340 Victoria Road.
The free event is designed to help students, employees and the community connect with essential resources for Helene disaster relief and recovery in a single location. Attendees can get help with hurricane recovery, applications for disaster relief, education goals, employment opportunities and more.
Dozens of organizations will be on hand, including:

- Goodwill
- MANNA FoodBank
- NC Works
- Our Voice
- Helpmate
- Pisgah Legal Services
