ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) – McCormick Field is currently undergoing $38.5 million of upgrades and repairs. Grabbing a hot dog at the home game opener may look a little different.
The Asheville Tourists are set to take on the Greenville Drive in their first home game since construction began on the field. The season opener home game is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. on April 8, 2025, at McCormick Field. Fans will receive a special gift for attending.
Tips for attending Tourists games amid field renovations.
The Tourists are 3-1 so far this season, owing their only loss to the Greensboro Grasshoppers. In the opening game of the season, Asheville’s team lost 12-3 on April 4, 2025. Swiftly returning from the dugout, the Tourists beat back the Grasshoppers in two subsequent games in the following days.
