ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Two organizations are banding together to support women professionally impacted by Hurricane Helene with a free event this Saturday.

Reclaim & Rise: Take the Next Step in Your Career will be held rain or shine from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, April 26, at DoubleTree Hotel Asheville, 199 Haywood St.

The event is organized by the Women Business Owners Network of the Triangle and Dress for Success Triangle NC. Both groups are dedicated to supporting North Carolina women, whether through WBON’s business and nonprofit education or Dress for Success’s career coaching and professional attire resources.

The Dress for Success Mobile Boutique will be at the event to outfit women with two to three pieces of professional attire.

Reclaim & Rise attendees will also receive:

  • A free mini career assessment to help navigate their job search
  • Toiletry bags filled with essentials
  • Access to virtual career coaching and support programs, services and certificates, including Google Career Certificates

“We know that women across Western North Carolina are seeking ways to move forward in their careers, and this event aims to offer the tools and support to help them do just that,” wrote Dress for Success marketing director Kimberly Arnold in a press release.

If you cannot attend Reclaim & Rise but are still looking for professional aid, there are virtual career support events, programs and coaching available at dfstrianglenc.org/services, as well as the option to receive a free, sized professional clothing kit by mail.
