ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Community members are invited to join a volunteer weeding session at the pollinator garden in Klondyke Homes from 8-10 a.m. Sunday, July 13.
The event is led by Stacia Payne, one of the first graduates of the Certified Pollinator Advocate program. Volunteers are encouraged to bring water, gardening gloves and weeding tools, and to dress appropriately for full sun conditions, including wearing sunscreen and a hat.
The garden is at 500 Montford Ave. Once inside the Klondyke Homes neighborhood, take the left fork to the roundabout across from the bus stop. Parking is available in the development’s office lot next to the roundabout.
Participants are asked to RSVP in advance so organizers can prepare.
