Submissions should be clearly written, fact-based and respectful. Strong arguments supported by facts, examples or personal experience are encouraged. We will not publish submissions that include personal attacks, hate speech, misinformation or unverified allegations.

No anonymous submissions

All opinion pieces must include the writer’s full name. Anonymous or pseudonymous submissions will not be considered for publication.

Attribution and accuracy

Writers are responsible for the accuracy of their submissions. Facts, statistics or specific claims should be sourced when appropriate. 828newsNOW may fact-check submissions and may request clarification, sourcing or revisions before publication.

Please include your full name, city of residence and a brief note about your background or connection to the topic. Include a phone number and email address for verification. Contact information will not be published unless otherwise agreed upon.
