ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Tyriana Jakira Smith, 29, was arrested at the Charlotte Street exit of I-240 East with drugs, a gun and over $4,400 in cash.

Smith, wanted on felony drug charges, was apprehended by Asheville Police Department officers around 4:46 p.m., Sunday, July 26, at the Charlotte Street exit of I-240 East near downtown Asheville, N.C.

During the traffic stop, officers confiscated a Glock 30S pistol, 53 dosage units of MDMA weighing 20 grams and $4,483.60 in cash.

Smith was charged with felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell, deliver substance schedule I, felony maintain a vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substance, felony possession schedule I controlled substance and misdemeanor carrying concealed gun. Smith had a warrant out for felony maintain a vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substance.

Smith was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under a $5,000 bond.
