The 2024 NC Apple Festival thundered into Labor Day weekend with dozens of white tents, red apples and dark storm clouds.
The annual event, held from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. over the Labor Day holiday weekend in Hendersonville, N.C., brings in thousands of visitors to partake in a variety of apple-themed activities. On Friday, August 30, the opening day of the festival, an unexpected thunderstorm disrupted the festivities.
