HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW)

One person was arrested in a gunfire incident Sunday evening in Hendersonville, police said Monday. No injuries were reported.

The Hendersonville Police Department responded to a report of gunfire in the area of 1st Avenue West and North Oak Street shortly before 6 p.m. about gunshots. Officers determined one person had been shot at, the Hendersonville Police Department said in a news release.

“The victim sustained no injuries in relation to the shooting,” according to the news release.

Phillip Hill, of Hendersonville, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill in relation to the shooting incident. Two search warrants were executed: one on a residence and one on a vehicle.

Police emphasized in the release that the incident was an isolated incident and there is no known threat to the public.
