HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) – A massive 16 vehicle pile up on Interstate 26 eastbound at mile marker 55 has diverted traffic.
After a semi-truck lost control of its load, dumping dozens of cones into the road, many vehicles crashed over the currently under construction Guise Bridge near Hendersonville.
Traffic is being diverted off of the interstate onto Highway 25. Heavy delays should be expected through the area. NCDOT expects the interstate to reopen in a few hours.
