ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — With Halloween landing awkwardly on a Thursday this year, there is a tale of two weekends to be had for event organizers.

The question of which Saturday is more Halloween-y, Oct. 26 or Nov. 2, can drive even the most fearsome festival planners to raving hysterics. However, more often than not, party promoters have erred on the side of cauldron caution: Oct. 26 has won out.

The following are just a few of the many Halloween events going on in town this weekend. Beware, but be there.

Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024

Haunted Parking Lot on the Hill

From 4 to 6 p.m. this Saturday at Stephens-Lee Community Center, families can enjoy “animated creatures and creepy inflatables” before being rewarded for their bravery with a bag of candy, said Asheville Parks & Recreation in a press release.

Brevard Halloweenfest

From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., downtown Brevard will be transformed into an eerie extravaganza for the 41st rendition of Halloweenfest, the oldest community event in Transylvania County.
