ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Two juveniles were arrested on gun charges at an Asheville apartment complex Thursday.
After what police called a “thorough and lengthy investigation,” detectives and officers attempted to contact the two juveniles at Hillcrest Apartments about 6:14 p.m. Aug. 22. The juveniles tried to evade officers on foot but were located and apprehended without incident in nearby apartments.
During the arrests, officers found three guns, a trafficking amount of fentanyl and a large amount of cash on the juveniles.

Asheville Police worked with the Department of Juvenile Justice to levy the charges.

- Possession with intent to sell or deliver Schedule II
- Possession of handgun by a minor
- Possession of a weapon of mass destruction
- Possession of handgun by a minor
- Resist, delay, obstruct
The juveniles, who have not been named because of their ages, have been turned over to the custody of the Department of Juvenile Justice.
