ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Asheville Radio Museum will mark its grand reopening Saturday.
Asheville Radio Museum’s new 1,000-square-foot space in the Elm Building at Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College features additional exhibits, a ham radio station and a repair workbench.
The museum’s grand reopening will be held in conjunction with its annual Vintage Radio Market.
A-B Tech officials will attend the event, which starts at 10:30 a.m. The museum will provide refreshments and free T-shirts.

MUSEUM GETS NEW SPACE TO SHOWCASE HISTORY OF RADIO
Founded in 2001, the not-for-profit Asheville Radio Museum provides visitors of all ages with a personalized learning experience about radio technology’s economic and cultural
impact enabling cell phones, GPS, Bluetooth and more. The museum holds more than 200 vintage amateur and commercial radios from the early to the mid-20th century. Parking and admittance are free at the museum.
