The health fair will run from 10 a.m. to noon on Monday, Feb. 9 at the Asheville YMCA, 30 Woodfin St., in downtown Asheville. The event is free and open to both YMCA members and non-members.
Fair attendees will have access to:
- Free blood pressure and glucose screenings from Hopscotch Primary Care
- Balance testing to help reduce fall risk
- Heart-healthy nutrition tools
- Medicare and insurance guidance
- Hearing health resources
- Information on hospice care, adult day programs and healthy aging services
In addition to Hopscotch, over eight local senior-service organizations will be at the fair, “making the event a one-stop opportunity for older adults to connect with trusted providers and learn how to better manage their health,” the YMCA said in a press release.
The health fair will also include a Heart Month-themed presentation from Hopscotch, offering practical health tips attendees can implement immediately.
