BILTMORE FOREST, N.C. (828newsNOW) — The town of Biltmore Forest will begin its Forestry Restoration Project this week, distributing pre-assembled restoration tree bundles to residents.

The town of Biltmore Forest is handing out bundles of trees this week.

The giveaways will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, April 14, and Wednesday, April 16. Each household is eligible to receive one bundle, which includes five native tree species — white oak, American beech, yellow poplar, maple and redbud.

A total of 100 bundles will be available on a first come, first served basis.

Each bundle includes planting and care instructions, along with additional information about the trees.

The town encourages residents to participate in this effort to help restore and protect the local tree canopy.

According to a representative from Biltmore Forest Town Hall, the tree bundle giveaways are limited to Biltmore Forest residents only. Proof of address will be required at the pickup point.
