ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) —
A Buncombe County woman was jailed Wednesday on numerous drug charges just weeks after being arrested on a variety of other charges, authorities said.
Sarah Swann, 36, was charged with possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver Schedule II controlled substance, traffick in methamphetamine Level III and conspire to traffick methamphetamine.
Detectives seized 112.9 grams of methamphetamine and various drug paraphernalia, the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

Swann was placed at the Buncombe County Detention Facility under a $100,000.00 bond. Additional charges may be forthcoming, the news release said.
According to the news release, Swann posted a $52,000 bond in April 2024 after being placed in the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office Detention Facility with the following charges:
• Breaking and/or entering II
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Larceny after break/enter II
• Felony conspiracy
• Misdemeanor larceny
“Individuals trafficking opioids and methamphetamines continue to be a danger to our community. Targeting drug traffickers remains one of our top priorities, and the efforts of our detectives and deputies continue to save lives by removing illicit drugs from our neighborhoods and communities,” BCSO Major John Ledford said in the release.
