ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — The Stars Servin’ Up Love celebrity tennis benefit was raisin’ up cash, too.
The tennis fundraiser event was held this past Sunday, Feb. 2, at Harrah’s Cherokee Center in downtown Asheville.
According to a Tuesday, Feb. 4 press release, Stars Servin’ Up Love “has generated over $1 million in post-Hurricane Helene ticket sales, sponsorships, donations, and auction sales.”
The auction isn’t over yet, either. Interested bidders can access the Goldin auction until 10 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 6 at www.starsservinuplove.com/auction.
100% of all the Stars Servin’ Up Love proceeds will benefit the Always Asheville Fund, United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County, Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity and Asheville Tennis Association.
Stars Servin’ Up Love was the biggest event at Harrah’s in months.
“The event marks the first large-scale event for the ExploreAsheville.com Arena at Harrah’s Cherokee Center – Asheville, the largest music and sports arena within 250 miles of Asheville, since Hurricane Helene,” the press release said.
Guests included tennis celebrities Andre Agassi, eight time Grand Slam singles champion and Olympic gold medalist, Andy Roddick, 2003 US Open champion with 32 career ATP World Tour singles titles, Jessica Pegula, 2024 US Open singles finalist currently ranked seventh in the world and Emma Navarro, 2024 US Open singles semi-finalist currently ranked eighth in the world.
Several TV and movie stars also attended the event, including “Mission: Impossible” actor Esai Morales and “Survivor” host Jeff Probst.
