ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Kona Ice and Jeremiah’s Italian Ice are two frozen dessert locales in the Asheville area offering sweet promotions next week.
On April 15, Tax Day, Kona Ice is offering free cups of shaved ice at four local ice truck locations to celebrate taxpayers chill out after filing their returns.
Kona is advertising the event with the motto “No Taxation Without Relaxation.” The promotion will run from noon to 2 p.m. in Canton, Fairview and Forest City, N.C., while the Burnsville location will offer their treats from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

- 133 Pisgah Drive, Canton
- 1350 Charlotte Hwy., Fairview
- 184 Lowes Blvd., Forest City
On Saturday, April 19, Jeremiah’s Italian Ice will be offering a 50% discount on mini, small and medium treats at their Jeremiah’s Ice Spring Fling event.
Jeremiah’s is located at 705 Merrimon Avenue in north Asheville.
The Italian ice drive-thru is advertising free face painting and giveaways at the spring fling, including free Italian ice for a year for one lucky member who checks in on their J-List Rewards app.
