ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — One person received minor injuries after the vehicle in which they were sitting was hit by gunfire on Christmas Eve.
The shooting happened about 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24, in the Rose Hill Road area of the Reynolds community, the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
According to the news release, the person inside the vehicle was not hit but suffered minor injuries from glass from the windshield.
Sheriff Quentin Miller said in the news release it was an isolated incident, and there was no threat to the community.
The suspect is believed to be driving a gray SUV. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office at 828-250-6670.
