HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — If you’re a Hendersonville resident with any concerns, questions or comments about the state of affordable housing, now’s your time to speak up.

The city of Hendersonville is inviting community members to participate in a series of Affordable Housing listening sessions scheduled for September and October. The sessions are designed to gather feedback directly from residents and those facing housing challenges. The meetings also aim to identify housing needs in the community.

Insights collected during these sessions will contribute to the development of the City’s Strategic Housing Plan. The Hendersonville City Council tasked city staff and a volunteer steering committee with developing the Strategic Housing Plan.

These meetings are part of the Hendersonville City Council’s annual Council Conversation series, where elected officials engage with residents in their neighborhoods to better understand their concerns and help inform governing and policy decisions.
