WEAVERVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — The Animal Hospital at Reems Creek announced in a press release on Friday that a new veterinarian will be joining the team at the local animal clinic.

Dr. Mary Robison joined the hospital staff on June 30, 2025, joining Dr. Ryan Hammonds and Dr. Jami Van Hamel as the veterinary team tending to the furry friends of Weaverville.
“We are thrilled to have Dr. Robison join our team,” said the Reems Creek team in the release. “Her dedication to animals and compassionate communication with pet families make her a natural fit here. She shares our commitment to treating every pet like our own.”
Robison graduated from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2024. Alongside her degree, she earned an American College of Veterinary Pathology Award of Excellence in Anatomic Pathology and a Dechra Award for Excellence in Dermatology. She first found an interest in veterinary medicine sparked when she began riding horses in elementary school and has since found further interest in small animal medicine, especially anatomic pathology, dermatology, ophthalmology – the treatment of eye disease – and infectious disease.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Robison enjoys running, tennis, hiking, and hanging out with her senior dog, Sam.
“With their combined expertise and shared passion for veterinary medicine, this team is dedicated to delivering outstanding service to every patient,” the release said.
