ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — As if Helene and fires and hail haven’t been enough, Asheville residents woke Saturday to an earthquake.
The United States Geological Survey reported a 4.1 magnitude quake about 9 a.m. about 13 miles southeast of Greenback, Tennessee.
People took to social media to compare notes on what they felt.
One person in the Emma area said her pots and pans were rattling.
“Did Asheville just have a earthquake? I just felt everything shaking. Anyone else?” another asked.
If you felt it, report it to the USGS here.
