ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Asheville police arrested two individuals with active warrants Thursday night during a crime prevention operation prompted by community complaints about illegal drug activity.
Officers encountered Travontae Donquez Ware, 28, around 9:42 p.m. near the 100 block of Atkinson Street. Ware was wanted out of Alabama on a Governor’s Warrant for sexual assault on a minor and also had outstanding local warrants for failure to appear in Buncombe County Court on multiple charges, including felony drug possession and resisting a public officer.
Ware was taken into custody and booked at the Buncombe County Detention Facility. He is being held without bond because of the Governor’s Warrant.
Also arrested was Zoe Ann Eichman, 25, who had an outstanding warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor larceny charge. During her arrest, officers discovered she was in possession of Xanax and drug paraphernalia. Eichman was charged with simple possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
She was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under a $1,000 secured bond and a $1,000 unsecured bond.
