ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Do you have hard-to-recycle items you need to dispose of? The next Hard 2 Recycle event is scheduled for 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2025, at A.C. Reynolds High School, 1 Rocket Drive.
The event offers residents a chance to keep these materials out of the landfill and ensure they are processed properly. Hard 2 Recycle is designed to collect items that are difficult to recycle through regular municipal services. Items accepted include:
- Small appliances and televisions (LED, CRT and monitors; $10 fee per unit)
- Batteries and scrap metal
- Books and flattened cardboard
- Food-grade Styrofoam and white packaging materials
