Asheville – Hattie Mae Fox Redmon, 86, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 18, 2024, peacefully at her home.

A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Woodard Oral Fox and Zelma Odessa Clark Fox, and the wife of the late Edgebert Ulus Redmon, Jr. She was also preceded in death by her sisters: Frances Greene and husband Chester, and Faye Hawkins and husband Cecil; and brothers: Fred Fox and wife Sue, Rex Fox, and Bob Fox and wife Wanda.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Cheryl Redmon Jones and husband Butch; granddaughters: Ashley Jones Little and husband Tyler, and Baily Jones Bailey; great-grandchildren: Grayson Little, Connor Little, Caroline Little, and Cooper Bailey; sister-in-law, Doris Fox; special nieces: Kaye Thornton and husband Chuck, and Emily Thornton; special nephew, Chris McKenzie and wife Kim; special friend, Dee Gordon and husband Raymond; beloved cat, Gordy; and by many extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2024, in the Chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Hooper officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1 till 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Butch Jones, Tyler Little, Chris McKenzie, Chuck Thornton, Randy Sluder, and Raymond Gordon. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Grayson Little, Connor Little, and Cooper Bailey.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the Erwin Hills Lion’s Club, 188 Erwin Hills Rd, Asheville, NC 28806.
