HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Want to celebrate the season with a holiday train ride?
Downtown Hendersonville has invited the public to celebrate with the Holly Jolly Train Rides at the Historic Courthouse on Saturday, Dec. 21.
Passengers will climb aboard the open-air Apple Express decked with holiday finery at the Historic Courthouse Plaza. This is a great opportunity to celebrate the sights and sounds of Christmas along Main Street and create wonderful lasting Christmas memories for the whole family.
Boarding for the free train rides, provided by Mountain Fresh Orchard, is from 5-8 p.m. Many tasty treats and fresh baked goods will be available for purchase from Mountain Fresh Orchard.
The holiday fun does not stop there. Kids of all ages can get a free photo with festively dressed llamas and a Christmas sleigh, provided by Ellaberry Llama Farm. Free faerie hair will be provided by A Walk in the Woods, and free face painting will be provided by Color Me Happy.
The Henderson County Farm Bureau Women’s Committee will have milk and cookies for children attending the event. They will also be sharing educational information on where milk and cookies come from.
