HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Several men pleaded guilty to charges in recent cases involving the Henderson County Major Crimes Unit. Henderson County Sheriff Lowell Griffin and District Attorney Andrew Murray announced the pleas in social media posts Sunday.

According to the posts, the following men pleaded guilty:

Martin Gailliot pleaded guilty in Superior Court to charges of kidnapping, assault by strangulation and interfering with 911 communications. Gailliot was sentenced to serve between six and almost nine years (78 to 106 months) in the North Carolina Department of Corrections.

Boyzel White, 43, who was implicated in the arson at SmartStop Self Storage, pleaded guilty in Superior Court to charges of burning a commercial structure and felony conspiracy. White was sentenced to serve between seven and almost 10 years (88 to 118 months) in the North Carolina Department of Corrections.

Andrew Kovaleski, 32, who was also charged in the SmartStop Self Storage arson, pleaded guilty in Superior Court to burning a commercial structure and felony conspiracy. Kovaleski was sentenced to serve between two and almost four years (26 to 44 months) in the North Carolina Department of Corrections.

Michael Podpora pleaded guilty in Superior Court to indecent liberties with a child and sentenced to a 45-day active sentence followed by 60 months of probation.
