ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Two long-running local establishments are celebrating big birthdays this Saturday.

Healthy supermarket Earth Fare Westgate is celebrating the 50th anniversary of Earth Fare with an Earth Day-themed bash.

The grocery will hold the celebration between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., Saturday, April 19 at 66 Westgate Parkway, Asheville.

The festivities will include live music, local vendors and crafters, food trucks, family-friendly prizes and free birthday cake and Fresh Pure water.

“It’s a little community here,” said Vincent, an Earth Fare shopper.

Earth Fare supermarkets are dedicated to selling healthy food.

Black Mountain brewery Pisgah Brewing Company will host a party for their 20th anniversary featuring the music of two different bands.

Doors open for the celebratory concert at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2948 US-70, Black Mountain.

At 6:30, Asheville-based psychedelic rock band New Dawn Starkestra will take the stage, followed by jam band Spafford at 8 p.m.

Food truck vendors Tin Can Pizzeria, Mountain View BBQ and Purple People Feeder will be set up at the event.

The Pisgah Brewing taproom will be open from 2 p.m. until the doors open.
