ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) —
An 18-year-old man has been arrested and charged with first degree murder in connection with a homicide discovered Sunday morning at an apartment complex on Long Shoals Road, and a 33-year-old woman is charged with being an accessory after the fact, Asheville Police confirmed.
According to online Buncombe County Detention Facility records, Knowledge Jamal Davis, 18, was arrested Wednesday, charged with first degree murder and discharging a weapon in occupied property.

A second person, Aria Shaquana Waters, 33, was arrested Tuesday, charged with being an accessory after the fact, possession of a stolen firearm, trafficking in methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia, the online jail records indicate.
Asheville Police Department spokesman Rick Rice confirmed that the arrests were related to a homicide discovered Sunday morning at the Artisan at Biltmore Park apartment complex in the 300 block of Long Shoals Road, where Terry Lee Landrum Sr., 49, died from a gunshot wound.

It was Asheville’s fourth homicide of 2024.
Rice said further information on the arrests would be released later Thursday.
