Margaret Ann Boyd Hollingsworth entered the kingdom of heaven on August 15, 2024 surrounded by her family.
She was born on November 16, 1930 in Brevard, NC. She graduated from Brevard High School in 1948 after which she continued her education at UNC Greensboro School of Business.
She met and married the love of her life, Bruce Talley Hollingsworth in March,1954. They moved to Jacksonville, Florida where they began their life together and started their family. In 1971 they made the decision to move their family, “Home to the Mountains”.
She enjoyed cooking, sewing for her family, crafts of all kinds, gardening and challenging you to any game. She will be remembered for her sweet smile, kind heart, unselfish love, and great sense of humor. Her family was her world, and she loved them fiercely.
She was predeceased by her parents, Daniel Ransom and Ila Taylor Boyd, husband, Bruce T. Hollingsworth whom she was married to for 33 years prior to his death, son, Charles Alan Hollingsworth who sorrowfully left her life in 1987. She was also predeceased by her “adopted” brother, Wade “Buddy” Webb.
She is survived by her children, Ann Limbo (George), their children, Micale Ann Sturtz, Lindsey Leigh Hooper (Shane), Charlie K. Limbo (Logan) Margaret Anna Paige Santiago (Carlos), Ryann Madison Stamatovich, Daniel Bruce Hollingsworth (Ann), their children, Brittany Ann Thompson (Jack), Mary Elizabeth Hollingsworth, Janice H. Pinson (Stanley), their children, Adria Hardy (Ben), Katie Gentry, Robert Edward Hollingsworth (Partner, Kathy Dempsey), his children, Natalie Owen, Bruce Hollingsworth (Partner, Aspen), Timothy Hollingsworth (Jordan), Taylor Hollingsworth, and Olivia Hollingsworth, 20 great grandchildren who always put a smile on her face.
Special nieces, Shari Jester and Jennifer Webb Gaskins, both residents of Florida.
She was a member of First Baptist Church and a loyal member of Pisgah Chapter No. 198 Order of the Eastern Star where she served as Worthy Matron, Treasurer, and other positions over the years.
She made her residence at College Walk almost three years ago and the staff took such wonderful care of her and loved her dearly, which gave her family great comfort.
The family will hold a celebration of her life in the fall.
