HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — The multi-agency resource center at the Blue Ridge Commons complex will move to a new location next week.

Beginning Monday, April 28, recovery resources for Tropical Storm Helene will be available at the Hedrick-Rhodes Veterans Center, 900 N. Main St. in Hendersonville.

To accommodate the move, the center will open at noon on April 28, then resume its regular hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Services available at the new location will include:

  • FEMA individual assistance staff to help residents manage existing claims, upload documents, check claim status, file appeals and ask questions.
  • FEMA hazard mitigation experts to provide information on rebuilding and repairing properties to withstand future disasters.
  • Small Business Administration representatives to assist with disaster recovery loan questions.
  • North Carolina Emergency Management staff and case managers to guide residents through the various recovery resources available.
  • Private Property Debris Removal staff (Tuesdays and Thursdays only) to accept applications for free storm debris removal. Required documents include a 2024 property tax bill, valid ID, a utility bill from around the time of the storm and, if insured, a copy of the homeowner’s insurance declaration page.
  • County staff to help residents connect with local government and nonprofit resources.
