In the early hours of May 25th at the age of 81, Pearson Arrowood of Hendersonville, NC passed away.  He was doing what he enjoyed; sitting on his porch letting the world wake up around him.

Pearson loved his family deeply including: his former wife, Judy (deceased); daughters, Donna, Bridgett, Judy Lynn; and son-in-law James. He was a proud grandfather and great grandfather.  His grandchildren include: Steven, Jonathan (deceased), Joshua, Jesse, Jordan, Lilli, and Gabe.  He had 12 great grandchildren including his name sake, Little Pearson.  He has three remaining siblings: Hardy, Geneva, and Ann.  He was Uncle Pearson to several nephews and nieces.  Although Pearson had many friendships, two people were closer than others: Gary, a life-long friend he considered a brother; and Ronnie, a nephew he considered a son.

Pearson, also known to many as “Slick”, loved life and some of his interests included: hunting; fishing; bowling; and working in his yard and garden.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mae; father, Bart; sister, Vera; and brother, Bud. Pearson was also a veteran of the US Navy and was proud of his service time.  He lived a full life in the manner he chose, and he died a peaceful death in the same way.  His stories, the love and joy he gave, and his larger than life personality will be missed by many.

Arrangements were by Asheville Mortuary Services.
