ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — The Asheville Humane Society is hoping to find a loving home for Gaia, a 1-year-old medium-sized mixed-breed dog with a calm temperament and playful personality.
Gaia, a 40-pound female, is described by shelter staff as affectionate, mellow and a fan of simple pleasures — from sunny strolls to long naps. While she may be shy at first, she quickly bonds with people and enjoys close companionship.
She has lived with cats and participates in dog playgroups. Shelter officials say Gaia would be an ideal match for someone looking for a gentle, loving pet.
Gaia’s adoption fee has been waived through the end of the month. Her new adopter will also receive a $50 gift card from Ingles Markets as part of her “Going Home” package.
Gaia is available for walk-in adoptions at the Asheville Humane Society, located at 14 Forever Friend Lane.
