Asheville police have asked for the public’s help investigating an armed robbery on Thursday night at a convenience store in the 200 block of Amboy Road.

According to a press release, the robbery happened around 9:53 p.m. at a convenience store in the 200 block of Amboy Road, where surveillance video showed a masked man entering brandishing a gun. The man reportedly left the store with approximately $400 in cash and other items and then fled on foot.

“The cashier described the gunman as a black male, tall, large build, wearing a charcoal grey/dark hoodie, and brandishing a silver and black handgun,” police said in the release.
