SALUDA, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Small mountain town, big mountain party.

The Saluda Arts Festival is back for its 20th anniversary from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, May 17 in downtown Saluda.

The festival will bring over 90 artists from all over Western North Carolina and upstate South Carolina, including a few Saluda locals, to showcase their wares. Booths may feature everything from ceramics to goat milk soap to gourd art.

Live bluegrass, jazz and traditional folk music will play at the Ella Grace Mintz Stage and Amphitheater at McCreery Park.

Music schedule:

  • 11 a.m. to noon: Mountain Song Community Chorus
  • 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.: Daryle Ryce
  • 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.: The Trophy Husbands

Various activities for kids, including magic acts, balloon art, juggling and face painting, will be going on throughout the festival at the McCreery Park Pavilion.

Parking for the event is located at several places around Saluda, including the Saluda Cemetery and Saluda Elementary School.

“For 20 years, Saluda, NC, has welcomed an incredible lineup of talented artists and crafters,” festival chair Missy Orr said on the festival website. “We are proud to continue this tradition and look forward to another 20 years of creativity, inspiration, and community!”
