ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) – The Asheville Downtown Association will host its annual State of Downtown event on March 18, 2025, at Battery Park Hall. The event, scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., will provide updates on downtown development and key initiatives affecting the community.

Mayor Esther Manheimer will deliver remarks on the city’s growth and future plans. Christian Martin, founder of Nexstreet, will serve as the keynote speaker. Nexstreet is the company contracted to provide clean and safe services for the Asheville Downtown Improvement District (ADID). Martin, who has family ties to Asheville, expressed excitement about contributing to the city’s progress.

Ted Sullivan of Mansfield Commercial Real Estate will also present an update on the downtown real estate market, discussing current trends and future opportunities.

The event doubles as the Asheville Downtown Association’s annual meeting, where leaders will review the past year’s achievements and outline goals for the future.
