ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) —
Planning to go downtown on Monday night? You might want to make other plans or think of alternate routes.
Sections of Patton Avenue will be partially or fully closed to traffic from 7 p.m. Monday to 7 a.m. Tuesday, June 17 to 18.
“Work will be carried out overnight to minimize disruption to area businesses and residents,” according to a press release from Asheville’s Communication and Public Engagement Department.
Full closures include:
-
Patton Avenue from Otis Street to Clingman Avenue
-
North French Broad Avenue from Patton Avenue to Otis Street
-
South French Broad Avenue from Patton Avenue to Hilliard Avenue
Partially closed roads (open only for business and resident access) will include:
-
Carter Street from Patton Avenue to Haywood Street
-
North Ann Street from Patton Avenue to Haywood Street
-
South Ann Street from Patton Avenue to Pearl Street
While working on the ongoing Carter-Ann-Patton stormwater project, workers ran into an unexpected setback, which prompted these closures.
To finish the repairs, two more night closures are expected. The dates for those have not been determined.
