ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — A man accused of stealing a trailer loaded with pet supplies from Asheville Humane Society has been arrested.

The Asheville Police Department (APD) announced in a press release that 25-year-old Joshua Allen Forrest was taken into custody on July 1 by the Haywood County Sheriff’s Office.

He was charged with two counts of felony larceny and taken to the Haywood County jail where he was given a $10,000 bond. He has since been released.

SUSPECT SOUGHT IN THEFT OF TRAILER LOADED WITH PET SUPPLIES

Asheville police said on June 23, a thief made off from Asheville Humane Society with a trailer that was loaded with more than $1,500 worth of donated pet supplies and other items.

A spokesperson for Asheville Humane previously told 828newsNOW that they were taking donations for all of the supplies they lost in the incident. The nonprofit is accepting dry dog and cat food and monetary donations. CLICK HERE for more information on how to donate.
