ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — It’s a double celebration in Asheville on Tuesday as locals mark Taco Tuesday and National Taco Day.

National Taco Day is observed on the first Tuesday of October, falling on Oct. 7 this year. While its exact origins are unclear, the day has been celebrated in some form since at least the 1960s.
