BURNSVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — A manhunt that began in Yancey County and stretched into neighboring Avery County ended Monday with the arrest of a Texas man, authorities said.
According to the Yancey County Sheriff’s Office, the incident began earlier in the day at the Ingles grocery store in Burnsville. Law enforcement launched a multi-agency search that later expanded into Avery County.
The suspect, identified as Linc Nolan Bloomfield of Texas, was taken into custody and is expected to face multiple charges. Officials did not immediately release details about the nature of the incident or the charges.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities said more information will be released as it becomes available.
