ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Most of next week is expected to be sunny with warming temperatures. Abnormally dry and moderate drought conditions have crept back into the region, but don’t expect much help in the way of rainfall until later in the week.

According to the National Weather Service, Asheville has only recorded 0.38 inches of rain for the month and 41.47 inches since Jan. 1, putting the area at about 6.36 inches above normal.

The forecast, according to the National Weather Service:

  • Monday: Patchy fog before 9 a.m. Otherwise, sunny with a high near 80. Light and variable wind.
  • Monday night: Patchy fog after 3 a.m. Otherwise, clear with a low around 52. Calm wind.
  • Tuesday: Patchy fog before 9 a.m. Otherwise, sunny with a high near 82.
  • Tuesday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 54.
  • Wednesday: Mostly sunny with a high near 80.
  • Wednesday night: Mostly cloudy with a low around 55.
  • Thursday: Partly sunny with a high near 77.
  • Thursday night: Mostly cloudy with a low around 59.
  • Friday: A 30 percent chance of showers. Partly sunny with a high near 75.
  • Friday night: A 30 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy with a low around 59.
