ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Explore Asheville and The Radical hotel are teaming up for an event geared toward the continued revitalization of the River Arts District.

The 2025 Summer Social will be held from 3–6 p.m., Monday, Aug. 4 at The Radical, 95 Roberts St.

The Explore Asheville function, described on the event page as a “toast to the renewal of the River Arts District and the summer season,” will be a multimedia evening of gallery tours, live music, dining discounts and mobile artists.

During the free celebration, visitors are invited to tour RAD Rendezvous, a new art gallery space brought to the community by The Radical owners and Phil Mechanic Studios, which has the capacity to accommodate up to 40 artists and two retailers in both solo and collaborative studio set-ups. Artists will begin to move into RAD Rendezvous on Friday, Aug. 1.

There will be two sets of music performed by the Asheville-based DJ Lil Meow Meow. The first will be held from 3-5 p.m. at Golden Hour and the second from 5-6 p.m. at The Roof at The Radical.

Also in attendance will be the North Carolina Glass Center mobile glass blowing unit, sketch artist Mitch Capp, the “Dollar Doodle Dude,” and Sauna House, an Asheville sauna and bathhouse.

The event will culminate with the RAD Dine Out, where Summer Social attendees will receive a 10% coupon at Master BBQ at RAD Brewing, Golden Hour at the Radical and Blue Cardinal at New Belgium.
