ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Three men face numerous charges after police allegedly found them inside a stolen vehicle with suspected Fentanyl, the Asheville Police Department said in a release.
According to a news release, about 11:26 a.m. on April 15 officers responded to an apartment complex on Granada Street and found a vehicle that had been reported stolen in Henderson County.
During the investigation, officers recovered 14.42 grams of suspected Fentanyl.
The three occupants, Mikal Dylan Philyaw, 23, Ethan Nathaniel Olson, 22, and Jacob Peter Smith-Vial, 18, were arrested and are facing charges, the release states.
- Philyaw is charged with: possession of a stolen motor vehicle; trafficking opium Level II; conspire to sell/deliver controlled substance; knowingly possess with intent to sell/deliver Schedule II; possession of Schedule II. Philyaw was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under no bond because of the Pretrial Integrity Act.
- Olson is charged with: trafficking opium Level II; conspire to sell/deliver controlled substance; knowingly possess with intent to sell/deliver Schedule II; possession of Schedule II. Olson was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under $50,000 secured bond.
- Smith-Vial has the following outstanding warrants: trafficking opium Level II; conspire to sell/deliver controlled substance; knowingly possess with intent to sell/deliver Schedule II; possession of Schedule II. Smith-Vial was transported to Mission Hospital with a medical issue and is waiting to be served with his outstanding charges.
