ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Rain is on the way for the Carolinas as tropical weather moves in on Monday.
The National Weather Service reports potential Tropical Cyclone Eight is expected to make landfall along the South Carolina coast Monday afternoon/evening, then move inland across the Carolinas Monday night through Tuesday.
Heavy rainfall is expected starting Monday afternoon through Tuesday morning, with isolated flash flooding possible.

The areas of most concern are the Charlotte Metro area and North Carolina mountains, near the Blue Ridge Escarpment.
