ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Is it too early to say heatwave? Warm and unsettled weather is expected to persist through Wednesday, with cooler and drier conditions returning Thursday and continuing into the Memorial Day weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
Rain and thunderstorm chances will continue, with the possibility of severe storms, especially on Tuesday. Above normal temperatures will be sticking around, at least for the next few days.

- Monday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 61. Calm wind. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
- Tuesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 81. Calm wind becoming south 5 to 8 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
