An “ELFing” Good Time 

Arms Around ASD, the hosts of this event are a local charity that provides support to people with autism and their families. Their holiday fundraiser was cancelled due to Hurricane Helene, but they wanted to still spread joy with a watch party for Elf, free food and a raffle. This free community event is from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7 at Land of the Sky.

Kris Kringle Holiday Market 

Did you miss out on the holiday markets on Small Business Saturday last weekend? Don’t worry, here’s another one. The Kris Kringle Holiday Market will be open from 3 – 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6 in Downtown Waynesville with around four dozen makers present selling all manner of holiday goods.

If you’re not in the mood to break the bank but need to satisfy that itch for the slopes, the Cataloochee Ski Area is offering a sale on skis, snowboards, clothing and accessories. From 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Dec. 7 and 8, this sale could be the perfect opportunity to gear up before ski season.

Wreath Making Workshop 

Feeling crafty this holiday season? 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon and 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7 at the Haywood County Center, you can make and take home a 16-inch wreath. Be sure to RSVP in advance to have supplies ready for your artful enjoyment.
