Downtown After 5
It’s another round of Downtown After 5! This year’s series promises an eclectic mix of music and themes, alongside collaborations with local nonprofit organizations. Each event takes place on the third Friday of each month from 5-9 p.m. April through September.
This Friday, LEAF Downtown makes its return! Tito Puente Jr. will be headlining the event, with the LEAF Kono Band opening.

Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office to host ‘Back to School’ drive
The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office is helping make sure students have what they need to begin the new school year.
A ‘Back to School’ drive is planned for Friday, Aug. 16 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 17 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Walmart located at 1636 Hendersonville Road in Asheville.
