Blue Haven Ball
A benefit gala is to be held at The Main Event this weekend in support of Hurricane Helene victims. Organizers plan for night of eating and dancing. Guests of honor include the United Cajun Navy and the Mountain Mule Packers for their Helene recovery efforts. The ball is scheduled for 5-10 p.m. on Sat., Jan. 18 at The Main Event in Hendersonville.

Heavy Mountain Music and Beer Festival
Rescheduled from Halloween, this spooky event mixes two of Asheville’s favorite commodities: live music and craft beer. Hosted by The Orange Peel, this night of haunted celebration is set to include performances from Thou and Emma Ruth Rundle paired with exclusive beers from Burial Beer’s Eulogy. The festival is planned for 2 p.m. On Sat., Jan. 18 at The Orange Peel in downtown Asheville.

Manhattan Short Film Festival
Film enthusiasts will be delighted to hear that Pack Memorial Library is hosting a watch party for the Manhattan Short Film Festival. Attendees will join the roughly 500 other venues hosting viewings in voting for their favorite pictures. This event will run from 1-4 p.m. on Sat., Jan. 18 at Pack Memorial Library in downtown Asheville.
