Friday, June 27

Concerts in the Park – 6:30 p.m., Biltmore Park, 30 Town Square Blvd.

Once a month all summer long, Biltmore Park will host a free outdoor concert on the green outside Hickory Tavern. This Friday, Mission Accomplished, a classic rock cover band made up entirely of local health care professionals, will bring the music to South Asheville.

Open Mic! at C.A.M.P. – 6 to 8 p.m., Coffee, Art, Music type Place, 1 Kenilworth Knolls Suite 1

Come share your talents and make new friends at the weekly Coffee, Art, Music type Place open mic night. There will be coffee, tea and sweet treats available for purchase and a $5 cover goes to support the C.A.M.P. nonprofit outreach for young artists and musicians.

“Geektastic” at Land of the Sky Burlesque Festival – 8 p.m., The Grey Eagle, 185 Clingman Ave.

The opening night of the Land of the Sky Burlesque Festival will be “Geektastic,” a burlesque show featuring performances all about pop culture. The event will feature over a dozen burlesque acts from all over nerd-dom and the United States.

Saturday, June 28

RAD Pride – noon to 10 p.m., The River Arts District Brewing Company, 13 Mystery St.

The RAD Brewing Company will host a free, all-ages Pride celebration all day long on Saturday. Dressing up in bright colors is encouraged at the event, which will feature an art vendor market, live music, tarot readings and a BBQ truck all day long.

STONEWALL WEEKEND 2025 – 6 p.m., Sly Grog Lounge, 271 Haywood St.

Sly Grog Lounge will be celebrating Pride with a glam-rock album release show from CAM GIRL, a workshop by the Pansy Collective and more music from Blistering Dissonance, Grave Girls and Psyclops. The workshop will begin at 6:30 p.m., music will start by 8 p.m. and tickets are $15 at the door.

Authentic Relating Date Night For Singles – 7:30 to 10 p.m., The Well, 3 Louisiana Ave.

“Ditch the small talk” at a dating event meant to move past surface-level conversation and emphasize deeper connections. The Well event will be an instructional space for developing a few dating skills and meeting new people. All adults are welcome, but anticipated participants will be between 30 and 50 years old.

Sunday, June 29

Celebration of Life for Oscar Wong – noon, The Meadow at Highland Brewing, 12 Old Charlotte Highway

Oscar P. Wong, the late founder of Highland Brewing and beloved member of the Western North Carolina community, will be memorialized at a celebration this weekend in the field outside of his brewery. The event will feature remarks from Wong’s daughter and Highland president Leah Wong Ashburn, live music and a variety of food trucks and Highland beverages.

Junk-O-Rama Vintage Market – 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Fleetwood’s Rock & Roll Wedding Chapel, 496 Haywood Road

Thrifters and rockers alike are invited to mingle and shop every weekend outside of Fleetwood’s Rock & Roll Wedding Chapel. The eclectic vintage market features multiple vendors hawking cool, quirky, unusual clothing, in addition to local crafts and antiques.

Book Swap at The Whale – 1 to 4 p.m., The Whale West Asheville, 507 Haywood Road

Bring your copy of “Moby Dick” or another favorite book to The Whale in West Asheville for an afternoon book swap. Bring a book, leave it on the table, pick another up and enjoy a beverage with your new read.
