According to the North Carolina Forest Service Wildfire Map, the fire is about 75 acres and is 0 percent contained.

In Madison County, officials closed Rector Corner Road while crews battle a fire started by a fallen power line.
According to the Marshall Volunteer Fire Department, crews closed the 1100 block of Rector Corner Road from Fortner Hollow Road to Bud Swan Road.
Marshall Fire Department, N.C .Forest Service and Marshall Police Department are on the scene.
According to the North Carolina Forest Service Wildfire Map, the fire is about 2 acres and 60 percent contained.
