The Montford Park Players continue their 53rd season, “A Season of Lunatics, Lovers, & Poets,” with “Cyrano de Bergerac,” written by Edmond Rostand, translated by Gladys Thomas and Mary F. Guillemard, and directed and adapted by Mandy Bean. “Cyrano” will run at 7:30 p.m., Friday to Saturday, Aug. 8-30, at the Hazel Robinson Amphitheatre, 92 Gay St.
Floodwaters about 15 feet high swamped the marketplace in Asheville’s River Arts District, wiping out the work of hundreds of artists and vendors
The RAD Sip & Stroll will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 9 all over the River Arts District, with open-air art markets and open studios presenting the work of hundreds of artists to the Asheville community.
FBRB will officially celebrate its comeback at a Grand Reopening Party from 1-10 p.m. this Saturday, Aug. 9, at its 101 Fairview Road address, located just outside of Biltmore Village.
